Beautiful Bedroom Color Schemes
Color introduces character, quality, and ambiance to any area and the bedroom is no exception. The colors scheme chosen for any bedroom probably have the biggest impact on how someone feels when they enter that room. Colors each have something to say, and more so in a scheme. Are the colors portraying soft and dreamy, bold and vibrant, or are they muted and serene? The bedroom is the perfect place to integrate a color scheme that suits the mood you’d like to experience most while you’re in that room. This will be different for everyone, but the ideas behind selecting the beautiful bedroom color schemes are pretty standard.
A palette of warm colors will turn any bedroom into a cozy and inviting nest that will wrap you in luxury as you snuggle into bed at the end of a tiring day. These beautiful colors will help to take the chill off north-facing rooms, and they’re pretty good choices in rooms with small or no windows.
Warm colors do not have to be dark shades. For example, both yellow and peach are warm, even in the paler shades. There are warm shades of white, for example, buttercream and vanilla. In general, the muted shades of warm colors are a great choice if you don’t want to feel overwhelmed with color in your bedroom.
Some of the most popular warm color schemes are those colors from sunsets. Sunny yellows, pinks and oranges may be used on their own or all together to make any room feel warm. If you prefer the brighter shades, try just painting one accent wall with a warm color, and then choose white for your other walls.
Waking up in a yellow tinted bedroom can give you the feeling you’re waking up to sunshine whatever the weather is doing outside. The same can be said for some shades of orange. If you choose a shade in a soft buttery yellow or a muted gold, it will look gorgeous with nearly any style of furniture.
Brown, which you could consider neutral or warm, offers comfort. Choices of brown range from a deep espresso to auburn to pale latte. You can go as dark or as muted as you want. Deep brown works well in a room with large windows. Balance that with a darker shade for fabrics, rugs and other accessories. Brown also looks pretty good with some other warm colors, for example orange, lime green or even certain shades of purple.
Red is a warm color and it appeals to a lot of people, but some find it too much for the bedroom. If you do love red, try using a muted shade but if you want a true red, try just one wall as an accent. A small amount of red paint or wall art can offer your bedroom just the right amount of fizz. You may also balance your red walls with accessories and fabrics in neutral shades.
Even if you’ve decided on a warm color scheme for your bedroom, you might want to bring in a few touches of cooler tones to give your scheme some balance. Consider aqua blue, turquoise or purple accents, against a background of yellow or orange shades. But you should keep these accents small and not too significant, so your warm bedroom remains peaceful and tranquil.
