Modern Bedroom Paint Colors
Nowadays, with regards to selecting the color scheme for your bedroom, you have such a brilliant array of colors to choose from. Modern bedroom paint colors are available in gorgeous rich tones and ultra cool shades to suit every taste.
My own particular favorite color schemes is indigo and cream, but other popular blends include chocolate and light blue, burgundy and pale green and the more trendy combinations like orange and green, or mustard and taupe.
However, during the last year, the most preferred of the modern bedroom paint colors chosen has been pink, and in particular for a girl’s room. Pink is a very soothing color which is one of the reasons it has become so popular in bedroom color schemes. Pink tends to radiate a calming effect and will typically make your bedroom feel charming and with a feeling of coziness.
Try to introduce different shades of pink for the bedroom walls, and when combined with yellow , emits a beautiful apricot tone which if you introduce on wall panels, will create a wonderful effect.
If you do decide to opt for a pink theme, keep in mind that the dark, bolder tones of pink paint can often be quite overpowering and you should balance this with a lighter shade to maintain a balanced overall appearance.
Although there are literally thousands of modern bedroom paint colors for you to choose from, you should go with those color shades that are more suitable for the size of your bedroom and the space it offers. As a rule of thumb, smaller bedrooms should ideally be pianted in light shades rather than bold colors as this will offer a more spacious feel to the room.
Painting your bedroom is not something you are likely to do often, so take the time to make sure you select the best color shades possible for your particular bedroom.
You can pick up free color charts or swatches from your local paint retailer which will help you to choose the from the vast array of modern bedroom paint colors. You should keep in mind that the color shade you see on a small color sample will look slightly darker when you see the same color on a complete wall. For this reason I typically choose a slightly lighter shade to compensate.
